Shop Fringe Skirts

Hope everyone had a great weekend especially as the summer is winding down. This weekend I finally made a purchase I didn’t need to make. I’ve been on a shopping challenge where I don’t shop unless completely necessary aka I have to be ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED with an item. Considering  the amount of things I used to buy and still have tags, this is a huge step. The first step is admitting you have a problem, right?

Well lets move on to the highlighting purchase. This purchase from Forever21 was a steal because of quality and the price. There nothing like a basic skirt that has tassel fringe for some pazzazz. As mentioned in many of my posts, fringe lovin’ is a thing and it is everywhere. I have and have seen fringe skirts that are made from the same cloth as the skirt. This one is a little different as it is a tassel fringe, that is made out of thread. You can wear a skirt like this either super casual and street style or super dressy and chic. I opted for the more street style-esque look. I also wore a basic H&M midi skirt underneath it to extend the skirt, this is obviously optional. To complete the street style look I added a Calvin Klein t-shirt, which is definitely making a comeback in the world of fashion, my lace up sandals from Zara and of course my handy dandy camo jacket and my favorite clutch. I chose the clutch to add a little color and only grabbed my camo jacket because of the gloomy weather but it worked out anyway, adding texture and character. Check out these two posts to see how you can add the lace up trend and the fringe trend to your fall wardrobe.

Lace Up Trend | Trendin’ Tuesday #TT

Shop the Lace Up Trend

Winding down to the end of summer and rolling up to cooler days of fall, Lace Up everything will be all the verge. Lace ups seem to be an extension of fringe with the string details. Lace up tops and all types of lace up of shoes.. Designer brands and department store brands have incorporated this detail to atleast one type of shoe, rather it be a pair of flats, heels or both. Lace up tops have also been a big hit, some of them being a little risque than others but definitely great for bringing life to fall outfits. With fall around the corner and colors switching towards the neutrals, adding lace up will bring out all the right kinds of details without worrying about incorporating bright colors. But be careful don’t splurge on this trend, its definitely here to stay for A/W season, but let’s see how far it gets into S/S season.

Looks of the Week in Canada – Vacation Edition + Mini Vlog

I, a couple of friends and family took a road trip up to Montreal Canada for one of my best friend’s beautiful wedding. ( Kerry, who has been one of my WFW) I took the chance during the mini getaway to capture some of our trip with videos, as well as a few looks. I want to give a huge shout out and thanks to my best friend Haline who did a great job at getting my looks for the video ! The video also features two of my other friends who made Canada a blast, four girls in a hotel room brings lots of laughter.  Check out the video and details on all the looks below.

Look One
Outfit of the Day - Gladiators

Dress : H&M / Purse : Urban Outfitters (In Store, Not Online) /Shoes : Steve Madden / Sunglasses : Aldo

Outfit of the Day image3The first look was a different kind for me and very much springy. I almost never wear shirt dresses or never find one that fits correctly and isn’t too short. But this one was definitely a score from H&M. Of course underneath I made sure everything was sealed and tucked away in case the wind got too strong or a button came undone. For the shoes I picked my comfy gladiators form H&M, that I absolutely love, especially for my bowed skinny legs that don’t fit into all gladiators. I picked to wear these shoes almost everyday …that’s I how much I loved them.
